Pursuant to the National Probin Policy-2013 of the govt. of Bangladesh for establishing the human dignity with good health and social safety life of the Elderly People, Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) started implementing the program in all unions under ENRICH Program. Accordingly GUK started implementing the program from July 2018 in Gabtali union under Gabtali upazila and Sariakandi union under Sariakandi upazilla of Bogura district. A budget was sent by PKSF for the FY 2020-2021 amounting Tk 1,276,460 from PKSF and Tk 921,700 from GUK.
A good number activities were difined in the budget for the wellbeing of the selected Elderly People of both the unions like; orientation of Probin leaders, training of microfinance staff on Probin program, Probin Committee Meeting at village level, Probin Committee Meeting at Ward level and Probin Committee Meeting at Union level. Besides, 100 Probins were selected by following the instruction of PKSF from each union who were provided with stipend worth Tk 500/- each per month for maintaining their Livelihoods. Apart from this many other encouraging activities those benefit financially and enhance the social dignity and prestige of the selected Probins have been performed during the period 2020-2021 creating a great sensation among 1,215 selected Elderly People of Gabtali union and 1,375 selected Elderly People of Sariakandi Union.
